The Penn Resilience Program and PERMA™ Workshops have demonstrated effectiveness in increasing well-being and performance. Participants learn actionable skills to navigate adversity and thrive in challenging environments, personal and professional. We deliver programs in-person at client sites and virtually.
Penn has worked with individuals, teams, and leadership from a variety of organizations, including universities, health care organizations, medical schools, secondary schools, corporations, the military, law enforcement, government, and a professional sports team.
Penn customizes services to fit the needs, goals, and culture of your organization, including:
- Brief presentations and workshops for different parts of your organization, including leadership, management, teams, and selected departments (1 hour to 1 day).
- Professional development programs for more in-depth immersion learning (1 to 3 days).
- Train-the-trainer programs to strengthen your in-house training capabilities, which is a scalable model (5 to 7 days).
- Strategic planning an implementation plan to meet your goals.
- Ongoing support for your resilience instructors as they teach the program.
- Curriculum upgrades as needed.
- Consulting and coaching by phone and videoconference for individuals and small groups.
- Distance learning delivered in synchronous and asynchronous modalities, e.g., recorded webcasts, live webinars, online courses, and customized digital solutions.
Train-the-Trainer Model. Penn has a proven train-the-trainer model, in which we train people how to teach the resilience skills. We have effectively trained more than 60,000 trainers who have diverse educational backgrounds, most of whom with no background in psychology. These trainers have gone on to teach the resilience skills to more than a million people. This model is scalable and sustainable - each trainer can teach the resilience skills to hundreds if not thousands of people over time.
